Hatsukokoro Sentan White #2 Kurouchi Cleaver 200mm

The Sentan series by Hatsukokoro is an entry level compact all-purpose cleaver. The grind on this cleaver is not particularly thin or thick, making it a great cleaver for all round use - just like how traditional cleavers were used. Having said that, we still caution against chopping through bones as cutting bones inevitability carries a risk of dulling or damaging the blade.

The White #2 Carbon Steel core with stainless cladding ensures excellent cutting performance with relatively easy maintenance. Carbon steel, especially before it patinas, is prone to rusting so make sure to keep the knife dry after washing it. Once the carbon steel core develops a good patina, it will be protected from rusting.
