Naniwa Lobster 3000

The Naniwa Lobster series is made in Vietnam, under the direct supervision of Naniwa Japan. It's made using the same manufacturing machines and techniques they use in Japan. The made in Vietnam stones are designed to offer better value while keeping standards high.

Overall, if we were to compare most of the Lobster series to their Made in Japan equivalent counterparts, we find the Japan stones offer a better sharpening experience for only a slight price premium. However, this 3000 grit Lobster Stone is the exception!

It's smooth, it's buttery and it's a splash and go. Some say (myself included) that it sharpens like the famous "Green Brick of Joy". While the stone dimensions are a little smaller compared to the usual Naniwa stones, we find that to hardly matter given the price.

This Whetstone is:
- Non Soaking - Splash and Go
- Medium Hard Stone - Has a buttery feel and great feedback
- Medium Hard Wearing - This stone dishes quite slowly

Troubleshooting:
If your edge is sharp in some areas but not in others, check that you have deburred consistently throughout the edge. Also, make sure you have a consistent sharpening angle throughout the length of the blade.
