Type
Compared to the Sabitoru rust eraser, the Naniwa rust eraser feels more rubbery, almost like a soft eraser you would use for erasing pencils marks. While the Sabitoru rust erasers are more scratchy and more similar to the hard pink eraser (that can often tear paper apart).

As a whole, due to its softness, the Naniwa rust erasers leave a finer scratch pattern as compared to the Sabitoru rust erasers. Especially with the Naniwa extra fine version, the final finish is rather bright and the scratches are less noticeable. On the other hand, the Sabitoru rust erasers can dig deeper and remove deep rust spots that the Naniwa erasers may not be aggressive enough to reach.

For the best aesthetic finish, we recommend going in the same direction as the original finish and using light pressure on the rust spots of your knife.
