Naniwa Traditional "Snow White" 8000

To clear up any confusion, the Traditional Stone (T-380) is equivalent to the "Snow White" Jyunpaku (IF-0001). Some are calling it the "New Snow White". The T-380 is released for Asian Markets outside of Japan whereas the IF-0001 is created for the Japanese market.

This polishing stone is highly regarded for being buttery smooth and fast cutting (for a polisher). Its a great stone to take your edge to the final finish quickly and efficiently. The stone is also decently hard for a polishing stone, so it should last you a good long while. While some sources say to soak the stone, others say not to. For us, we firmly believe that soaking magnesia based stones (like this one) is not necessary and does more harm than good. Long soaking breaks down the structure of the stone and causes it to crumble or even crack over time. For this stone we recommend to splash and go, adding water a few drops at a time as the slurry builds up.

Troubleshooting:
If your edge is sharp in some areas but not in others, check that you have deburred consistently throughout the edge. Also, make sure you have a consistent sharpening angle throughout the length of the blade.
