The aptly named Timemore Bricks was supposedly inspired by Bricks. We can see why.

This wall-outlet powered grinder is marketed as an entry level coffee grinder, suitable for espresso, filter coffee, french press and everything in between. Inside you'll find the new S2C burr by Timemore - the S2C040. While it's officially an S2C burr, its geometry looks closer to the E&B burrs we have seen in earlier Timemore grinders. Perhaps to work at higher RPMs, the regular S2C design needed to be adapted closer to the old E&B design. Either way, it's a tried and true burr geometry that produces a sweet cup with good body, a crowd pleasing flavour profile.

The small footprint of the Bricks makes it a good fit for smaller coffee stations. In the tight space we have in our homes these days - this is a necessity. Those familiar with the rotary knocker on the Sculptor will be happy to find the same handy feature in the Bricks. The rotary knocker effectively knocks out any fines and coffee particles left over in the grinding process, leading to reduced retention. The 10 micron per click adjustment dial allows you to easily adjust the extraction time for espresso.

The flavour profile of this grinder favours a sweet and robust cup with good body. ​​​Clarity is not the focus of this grinder, so fans of bright and acidic coffee profiles may want to get the Sculptor instead. Hence, we recommend this grinder to primarily espresso drinkers who only make the ocassional filter coffee. For an electric grinder capable of making and dialling in excellent espresso, this grinder is hard to beat in terms of value.
